"We should all start to live before we get too old. Fear is stupid. So are regrets."
— Marilyn Monroe
We Should All Start To Live
We should all start to live before we get too old. Fear is stupid. So are regrets.
About this quote
From a 1960 interview with journalist W.J. Wetherby. The fuller passage runs: "I ask myself what I am afraid of. I know I have talent. I know I can act. Well, get on with it, Marilyn. I feel I still try to ingratiate myself with people... That's fear, too. We should all start to live before we get too old. Fear is stupid. So are regrets." Wetherby's interviews with Monroe, conducted over several months, were published in his 1963 book Conversations with Marilyn.
