"Spend each day trying to be a little wiser than you were when you woke up."
— Charlie Munger
Spend Each Day Trying To Be
Spend each day trying to be a little wiser than you were when you woke up.
About this quote
This aphorism appears in Poor Charlie's Almanack, the 2005 compendium of Munger's speeches and memos edited by Peter Kaufman. Munger attributed the underlying idea to Benjamin Franklin and the Almanack's framing of lifelong, incremental self-improvement. It became one of his most repeated pieces of advice at Berkshire Hathaway annual meetings alongside Warren Buffett.
