"Never leave that till tomorrow which you can do today."
— Benjamin Franklin
Never Leave That Till Tomorrow Which
Never leave that till tomorrow which you can do today.
About this quote
This maxim appeared in Poor Richard's Almanack for 1742, one of Franklin's many aphorisms on the virtue of diligence and avoiding procrastination. Franklin himself followed a strict daily schedule, detailed in his autobiography, that assigned each hour a purpose. He acknowledged in the autobiography that he often fell short of his own ideals but believed the effort of striving toward them produced great practical benefit.
