I Have Found The Paradox That

This quote has a reasonably strong documentary trail. A related sentiment appears in Teresa's book One Heart Full of Love (edited by Jose Luis Gonzalez-Balado): "Give the love we have all received to those around you. Give until it hurts, because real love hurts." The specific "paradox" formulation — "if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love" — is cited from In the Heart of the World: Thoughts, Stories & Prayers (p. 25) and from her 1987 book My Life for the Poor.
