This is Walter White's defining confession, spoken in the series finale ("Felina," Season 5, Episode 16) of Breaking Bad, created by Vince Gilligan. Walt finally admits to Skyler — and to himself — that he did not cook meth to provide for his family, as he had long claimed, but because it gave him purpose, status, and a feeling of being truly alive. It is one of television's most celebrated moments of self-revelation.
